Creating the e-portfolio website
Domain Name
After you sign up to develop your own e-portfolio website within Weebly, it will ask you what you want your domain name to be. You will want to put your first and last name in so that you are using the free Weebly domain. For example, John Smith (student) would put his name in and the site domain would be http://johnsmith.weebly.com.
Pick your "Design"
You will be using the Weebly editor to develop and manage your pages. If you click on the "design" tab, you can design the background to your page. There are so many to choose from. Pick something professional. Remember, this will be a site to be reviewed by a potential employer or a possible promotion in the future.
Add Pages
In Weebly editor, click on the "Pages" tab to develop all of your menu items (at a minimum, create the required pages for the program).
BUILD
The tools within the BUILD tab will provide options for adding content for your pages. These are always editable, so if you add content but then want to change the layout, it's fine - you won't lose anything. Just grab the design element you want and drag it down into your page. It's easy!
Publish
Every time you make a change to your site, you need to "Publish". This is the orange arrow in the upper right hand corner of your editing page. Once you publish - you'll see the published link available to direct people to go to.
